Below is the series of teaching Master Sunyata focused on for women (anyone can do many of them, but he asked Amrita to teach women, and the manuals and videos give cautions and tips for women specifically). Please check with your health practitioner before beginning any practice or exercise, and start slow, one practice at a time, as advised, to assess your compatibility with it. Enjoy!

Becoming...

Introduction to, and overview of, the "2010-2014 Teachings for Women of Sunyata Saraswati", from his last years of his life in Florida.

One manual.

Salutes

"Become like a crane."
- Sunyata Saraswati

To be more calm, centered, balanced, grounded...what a powerful way to live.

The "Salutes" are presented: movements that work with one's energy, energy storage, and energy expression centers in the body. "Salutes" are movements that open and close (bookend) a practice, or that can be performed as their own practice. The practitioner will find other ways to utilize the "Salutes" and their benefits for themselves and others.

Foundation Warmup

"We have to move. The whole universe is moving. Why would we become static?"
- Sunyata Saraswati

Many are eager to meditate, open the 3rd Eye, or go deep into whatever the spiritual path could be defined as. Along with that mystical reality, one must still be able to navigate the physical reality. In the physical reality, one must be grounded and be able to, as Master Sunyata would say, "function on this planet."

In this manual, the "Foundation Warmup" is presented: stances and movements that help the practitioner to stabilize and settle into the body, and to acclimate the body to synchronization of breath with movement. This cleansing, grounding, and expanding practice is a tune up for the internal and external body.

Five videos and one manual.

Preliminary Energy Movers

"It takes energy to wake up!"
- Sunyata Saraswati

Wouldn't it be great to have a renewable source of energy for our body, to wake up ready to start the day, to be able to recharge naturally during the day if the energy slows down, and to have the energy to do all the practices and other things we want to accomplish in life?

The "Preliminary Energy Movers" are graceful, powerful, artistic, short, individual breathing and movement practices that safely start the energy moving so that one can feel more alive! Some can be practiced with each other, others independently. They are arranged from simple to longer practices.

Eight videos and one manual.

Meditation Techniques

"The real meditation is when you are sitting quietly at the end."
- Sunyata Saraswati

Peace.

Tranquility.

A quiet moment.

Learning about the higher nature of the self.

Renewal.

Well-being.

This and more awaits the meditator.

Meditation is a method of quieting the mind in order to more clearly see one's self. The "Meditation Techniques" in this manual are different methods of moving the breath and awareness in the body, without using body movements.

Four videos and one manual.

Well-Being Processes

"Our own sensitivity should be the real criterion for your experience."
- Sunyata Saraswati

More energy and health from within...these natural practices focus on inner physical health and beneficial energy flow.

Each practice of the "Well-Being Processes" has more well-being results than the "Preliminary Energy Movers", although the "Well-Being Processes" work with energy as well. They are performed independently of each other, except "Star" may proceed the "Eight Standing Postures of Shou Lao".

Eight videos and one manual.

Vishnu Therapy

"In order to truly understand the nature of meditation and consciousness, a clear conception of the energy and function of the navel center is a must."
- Sunyata Saraswati

Here is a self-care technique with ancient roots and a practical and spiritual benefit!

"Vishnu Therapy" is a deep muscle massage technique, which aligns and strengthens Nabhi Chaka (behind the navel point), resulting in realizing the full benefits of meditation, yoga, and consciousness, as well as balancing its energy with that of the highest Chakras.

Moontime Movement and Meditation

"I heal, balance, and center first myself, then assist those who desire assistance in their healing, balancing, and centering."
- Sunyata Saraswati

An easier cycle! Many women would like to feel better throughout every day of the month.

"Moontime Movement and Meditation" is a group of practices that can be done individually or as one longer practice, to develop Chi, stimulate the lymphatic system, stimulate and regulate hormonal flow, and lessen menstrual symptoms. The practitioner can note how they feel before practice, and how they feel over months of practice, in order to discover what works or does not work for their particular body.

Turtle Chi Gung

"If you're at peace with yourself, you're at peace with everybody."
- Sunyata Saraswati

The peaceful, slow but steady, and long-lived turtle and tortoise. What if we could enjoy those attributes as well?

"Turtle Chi Gung" utilizes various movements and breathing techniques to slow down the breath and the body, as well as imitates movements of turtles, for benefits such as possible longevity, thyroid stretching, and tonifying kidney energy.

One video and one manual.

Vajra Yogini Yoga (BEGINNING)

"We aren't this body or this mind. We are pure energy and consciousness."
- Sunyata Saraswati

Would you like to try a multi-sensory yoga that was developed for a woman's body, and combines flowing movements, Mantras, Bandhas, breath work, visualizing colors, and meditation?

"Vajra Yogini Yoga" is a women's spiritual practice and Yoga that was originally practiced by nuns to cultivate and refine excess sexual energy. This rich Yoga, working mostly with the core of the body and the Nabhi Chakra (behind navel) specifically, strengthens the hormonal flow and the immune system; develops physical and spiritual strength, endurance, and vitality; distributes energy to the organs, the energy channels, and the body to the fingers and toes; gives inner motivation to stay on the spiritual path.

This Yoga is best practiced by someone in good health and weight. There are many other wonderful Yoga practices, or the "Tai Chi Yin Gung" practice, that can be practiced until one is in good health. Even if one does not have the listed "Health Concerns", it is still best to start slow and do the parts of the practice that can be safely performed until one's body and breath strength has improved.

Tai Chi Yin Gung

"The form is a mechanical device to get the body to move with the Tao."
- Sunyata Saraswati

How can we work on the internal health and energy, even into the senior years?

"Tai Chi Yin Gung" encompasses many practices including Chi Gung, Tai Chi, and meditation, that benefit the internal lymphatic system, circulation system, and meridian system. It follows Master Sunyata's class sequence of ground / warmup, generate energy, circulate energy, and meditation.

Kuan Yin Magnetic Nei Gung, Tai Chi, and Meditation

"The form is a mechanical device to get the body to move with the Tao."
- Sunyata Saraswati

Experience a new way of being human(e).

"Kuan Yin Magnetic Nei Gung, Tai Chi, and Meditation" became an important practice for Master Sunyata at the end of his life, when he was focusing on the heart. Some of its attributes and results are purifying emotions, bringing clarity, positively affecting glands in the brain, developing compassion and heart opening, building a magnetic type of Chi to store for healing, changing the personal vibration, and activating the energy grid around the body.
