Would you like to try a multi-sensory yoga that was developed for a woman's body, and combines flowing movements, Mantras, Bandhas, breath work, visualizing colors, and meditation?

Vajra Yogini Yoga is a women's spiritual practice and Yoga that was originally practiced by nuns to cultivate and refine excess sexual energy. This rich Yoga, working mostly with the core of the body and the Nabhi Chakra (behind navel) specifically, strengthens the hormonal flow and the immune system; develops physical and spiritual strength, endurance, and vitality; distributes energy to the organs, the energy channels, and the body to the fingers and toes; gives inner motivation to stay on the spiritual path.

This Yoga is best practiced by someone in good health and weight. There are many other wonderful Yoga practices, or the Tai Chi Yin Gung practice, that can be practiced until one is in good health. Even if one does not have the below Health Concerns, it is still best to start slow and do the parts of the practice that can be safely performed until one's body and breath strength has improved.


  1. Menstrual Period - No, cannot practice
  2. Pregnant - No, cannot practice
  3. Postpartum - Wait six weeks
  4. Breastfeeding - No, cannot practice

Health Concerns:

  • No aneurisms
  • No AIDS
  • No cancer or chemo/radiation
  • No gallstones
  • No heart conditions, cardiovascular problems, or heart disease
  • No heat issues in the body as defined by Chinese medicine
  • No hernia
  • No high blood pressure
  • No peptic or duodenal ulcer
  • No spinal/nerve/mental illness
  • No stomach disease
  • If overweight, no abdominal-straining movements (the teacher will guide the student)
